BMA House is home to two outdoor event spaces, perfectly placed for elegant summer parties, drinks receptions, weddings, socials and celebrations in the heart of London.
Move away from the fast pace of the city and enjoy the tranquility of the Garden. Or soak up the story of the Courtyard, which also happens to be a photographer’s dream come true. With wrought-iron gates and a fountain centerpiece that are talking points as much as they are beautiful backdrops.
Combining city amenities with countryside charm, BMA House is located in Bloomsbury. Just a six-minute walk from Russell Square underground station, ten minutes from Euston. And, with St Pancras and King’s Cross stations also nearby, the venue provides both calm and convenience.
It’s worth noting their outside spaces form part of their venue hire, therefore the hire of an attractive indoor space is essential, not only as a wet weather contingency.

Formerly home to Charles Dickens, the botanical Garden at BMA House is adorned with flowers, trees, shrubs and plants. All chosen for their medical significance, as well as a central pond and patio area. Fig and olive trees, rhubarb and strawberries make for the perfect environment for summer parties and drinks receptions. With capacity for up to 90 guests, the garden is a particularly popular choice for wedding celebrations with a countryside feel in central London: a hidden gem.
Our largest outdoor space, the Courtyard is surrounded by the stunning and historic backdrop of BMA House. Features a central fountain which is not only pleasing to the eyes, but the ears.
The Courtyard can host up to 320 guests and may be used in conjunction with our indoor event spaces when needed. Each of which are equally impressive.
With botanic-themed artwork, a double-height ceiling and large windows, the Garden room benefits from natural light and direct access to the Garden, which gives the room a design that brings the outdoors, in. There is also a fixed bar, space for live music and capacity for up to 48.
To truly bring these spaces alive they work closely with CH&CO, their catering partner to create bespoke, ethical and exciting menus that reflect the two outdoor spaces and in the case of the Garden even make use of those wonderful herbs growing fresh on-site. They bring seasonal food to your event, supporting our wonderful British farmers and source local produce wherever possible. Sustainable spring and summer menus can be themed, such as street food style or a BBQ and of course can meet the needs of vegetarian and vegan diets.
They can even provide a pop-up bar specialising in cocktails that make the most of the theme, the setting and again the on-site produce. It’s incredible what the right herbs and spices can do to a cocktail or mocktail.
BMA House has decided to remain a COVID-conscious venue for the foreseeable future. This means we will be allowing extra space in our rooms. Encouraging breaks outside and fresh air whenever possible. Extra ventilation, encouraging face-coverings to be worn in meetings. And enforcing face-coverings to be worn around all communal areas. As well as additional precautions to keep guests and staff safe. Such as track and trace, temperature checks and vaccine passports/proof of negative tests where applicable. Please note these may be subject to change based on the current climate and you will be notified immediately of any changes.
