Field with a View Winchester

Field with a View Winchester is our hill top 2.5 acre hay field. And is a wonderful place to hold your wedding celebrations. With views out over the rolling countryside of the South Downs National Park and Winchester city.

You can create your dream wedding, with your choice of tents, marquees and set up. We also has a small fenced woodland area which is perfect for a more intimate ceremony area.

How did Field with a View Winchester come about?

In the summer of 2016, my husband Dave and I had our wedding reception in our hill top hay field.

We decided on a low budget, DIY affair, with tents and marquees borrowed from friends and family. We supplied kegs of beer and cider. And filled a couple of baths with ice for the wine and soft drinks. On our invites, we asked our guests to bring their favourite pudding. And a bottle to add to the drinks’ supply. We put out games for everyone to enjoy… table tennis, swingball, outdoor jenga and skittles.

As were married at the Registry Office on the Monday- The Summer Solstice-. But on the following Saturday we held a Celebration Party, not the actual wedding. So our amazing local band who we hired in for the evening, charged us for a ‘party’ not a ‘wedding’ , which would have cost a lot more!

It was perfect! We had such an amazing time and so many people commented on what a fab place it was for the celebration.
