Newark Showground

Newark Showground is the home of over 500 local, regional, and national events every year.

Hosted across 16 conference, exhibition and hospitality venues on our well maintained rural campus. Each individual venue provides a unique event solution.

Newark Showground is a busy regional venue hub which has superb road and rail links. And with over 8,000 free parking spaces, site wide WiFi.

The former RAF Winthorpe Airfield was purchased by the Newark and Nottinghamshire Agricultural Society in 1965.

To develop and create a permanent home for the annual Nottinghamshire County Show. The Society still owns the land and the County Show still takes place every May.

Our flat 86 acre internal campus, and is surrounded by a 30 acres of runway. Has become equally famous as the wide range of outdoor events we host.

An example would be the world famous Antiques and Collectors’ Fairs. They use our outdoor areas and buildings since they connect seamlessly. There is excellent disabled access across the site.

With free draining grass areas, four horse rings, and an abundance of smaller rings. This attracts equestrian events and dog championships.

But the network of tarmac roads, and acres of hardstanding runways. Makes it equally suited to vehicle rallies, vintage tractor displays, and multi-million-pound auctions for large industrial equipment.

Many visitors discover Newark Showground through attending music festivals. Huge specialist weekends, week-long Christian conferences or caravan and motorhome events following their passion. Increasingly, we are attracting in-week conferences, meetings and business to business events as new audiences discover the full range of our venue portfolio.

Location

With great road and rail links, our venue is ideal for national, regional and local business events. Less than five minutes from the A1, A46 and A17 in Nottinghamshire. Only 75 minutes from Kings Cross on the East Coast Main Line, travelling to our venue is very straight forward.
