Hay Fields

Hay Fields, is our family run farm. It extends around 157 acres in a location that boasts beautiful landscapes, woodlands and moorlands.

We offer our remote 9 acre level field as a blank canvas for your celebration.

Lovers of the great outdoors can embrace the elements. Let the outside into their event. And maximise the breath taking views. Let your ideas run wild, ensuring its your event, your way, in a relaxed and informal surroundings.

Our unique, rural space can accommodate a variety of events to meet various requirements from tepee, marquees, bell tents and yurts. Your event can be as informal or formal as you would like.

With ample car parking and room for up to 500 guests. You and your party can enjoy the remoteness, and tranquillity of our stunning location.

Putting your mark on this beautiful, unique space will be very individual and to your liking.

Woodlands and Moorlands

Hay Fields is adjacent to public woodlands and moorlands that are great for photo opportunities.

Hay Fields may be out in the sticks. But for all supplies it is only a stones throw to the city of Sheffield and the town of Chesterfield. Where you will have access to anything you could need while enjoying your event. Also, nearby you will find some lovely idyllic bed & breakfast establishments and hotels in the charming villages of Baslow and Bakewell.

Additionally the church of Holmesfield is just a short 10 minute drive. Hence celebrant weddings are very much encouraged.

Our space is by a rural roadside with very amenable access.

Camping at Hay Fields

If you would like to take a step further into nature. Either camping or organising a bell tent village for you and your guests. To enjoy through to the following morning is not a problem here. We also invite your furry friends to enjoy your special event.

The Costings

A 25% deposit will secure your preferred dates, the final balance will need to be paid in full 28 days prior to your event.

A damage deposit of £500 will be required and refunded if the field is left as found.

Our space is by a rural roadside with very amenable access.

We allow access to the field Thursday – Monday inclusive for £1000, Friday – Sunday for £500 this also includes guests camping.

Day rates are £500 for access from 9am to 9pm

A temporary event notice (TEN) would need to be applied if you are selling alcohol, serving alcohol to members of a private club, providing entertainment, such as music, dancing and indoor sporting events or serving hot food and drink between 11pm and 5am. This will need to be submitted to us a minimum of 1 week prior to the event, this is £21 from North East Derbyshire District Council.

Whilst we can be pretty flexible, we do have nearby livestock and local farmers therefore fireworks and loud music after 11pm are not permitted.

Fires and BBQS are permitted, but will need to be off of the ground and in a fire pit or BBQ.

With any celebration we are happy for you to work with your choice or caterer, marquee hire, toilet hire etc.

A copy of our T&CS will be sent over via email at the time of securing dates.
