The Woods at Oakley

The Woods at Oakley is home to 12 acres of stunning, vibrant, picturesque woodland nestled in the heart of Wiltshire. With London under 2 hours away, it is a great location for a rural retreat, weddings or corporate away day.

Our family fell in love with the woods many years ago, making it our home. And vowing to protect it, including the wildlife that lives in it.

Our Ash Trees

Ash is one of our most beloved and common trees in the UK. And here in The Woods at Oakley, it is under great threat from ash dieback.

It is estimated that the disease will kill around 80% of ash trees across the UK in the next 10-20 years.

This will have a devastating impact on the landscape. With the biodiversity of our woodlands, and will cost the UK £15 billion!

Our Pledge

We are passionate about conservation.

For every event held, a proportion of the proceeds will be used to replant trees here in The Woods at Oakley. And help fund community woodland projects across the UK.

So not only are you hosting your event in these beautiful woods. But you are supporting the future of the UK’s precious woodland which is under great threat.

Our Rescue Animals

We are passionate about animal welfare and have adopted many woolly, hairy, furry and feathered friends over the years. All of whom are curious, gentle creatures that love to meet new people.

We encourage you to indulge in a cuddle with our rescue donkeys, to boost your wellbeing, to use our sheep fleece for crafting projects and to pick the wildflowers to go in your hair!

We also invite your beloved pets to share in your celebrations and to have their own woodland adventure.

Our Location

The Woods at Oakley are very accessible being located just 2 miles off the A303, with space for large vehicles to deliver equipment and ample parking for guests on hardstanding.

There is electricity, water and toilets in the two main event areas in the woods.

Due to the rural location we do not allow amplified music after 11pm and fireworks are a big no because of the animals.

The woods are available for events on limited weekdays and weekends from May to September.

The Woods at Oakley is a special place. That will inspire you to create that unique event, leaving lasting memories in your mind and soul.
